Similar in name to the iconic Toyota Corolla, one would think that the Toyota Corolla Cross is a sedan with more attitude. This isn't the case. While it has plenty of attitude and power behind the wheel, the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross is an SUV that's ready to take charge in an SUV world. Three Things We Know About the New 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross Besides the fact that the Toyota Corolla Cross is a compact SUV, we have learned more about this impressive new Toyota vehicle. Here are three things that we just have to share with our Philadelphia area drivers. Efficient and Peppy Powertrain – The Toyota Corolla Cross contains a 2.0-liter engine that offers up to 169-horsepower and an EPA-estimated 32 miles-per-gallon rating. Drivers can also add the available all-wheel drive system for more traction throughout Northeast Philly, Trevose, and beyond. It has also been said that the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross will have a hybrid powertrain option, so be sure to look out for that. Stand Out Style – With its flared fenders, sophisticated silhouette, and contemporary lines, the Toyota Corolla Cross will most definitely turn heads. On the inside, there's plenty of room for up to five, as well as an adaptable second row for additional cargo space. New Tech – Added technology has been included in this brand-new Toyota vehicle. Some of these updated tech features include the available Qi wireless charging pad, the available Remote Connect app, and Front and rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking. The 2023 Toyota Crown Platinum Arrives, Bringing Bang for the Buck
The All New 2023 Toyota Crown is here. With its arrival, comes a lot of questions. Is this sedan replacing the Toyota Camry, Corolla, or Avalon? Is it a hybrid vehicle? How fast can it get from 0-60 miles per hour? How many miles to the gallon does it get? What are the specs? How much is it? We at Sloane Toyota of Philadelphia are going to answer those questions, and a whole lot more, with our 2023 Toyota Crown Platinum trim level review. Toyota announced the Crown’s addition to its U.S. lineup last year and discontinued the Avalon. But don’t worry Camry and Corolla fans. Those popular sedans aren’t going anywhere. Originally slated for a Winter 2022 release, the Crown is making its way to our, and other, Toyota dealerships across the country this month. The Crown Platinum is the sedan’s premium trim. It comes in two others – the XLE and Limited - and is the first Toyota sedan with a standard hybrid powertrain. The Crown Platinum’s starting MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) is $52,350*. That is $12,400 more than the XLE base trim, and a $6,800-increase over the Limited. However, the Platinum comes with enough bells and whistles to earn luxury sedan status. In fact, in Japan, where the Crown nameplate has existed since the 1950s, it’s already considered a luxury vehicle. Shop New Toyota Crown Inventory 2023 Toyota Crown Platinum Specifications Underneath the 2023 Toyota Crown Platinum’s hood lies an all-new Hybrid MAX powertrain featuring a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor on the rear axle. This results in 0 to 60 mph acceleration in 5.7 seconds – nearly two seconds faster than the XLE and Limited’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid system. The Platinum’s engine also delivers 340 combined net horsepower. That is 44% more HP than the XLE and Limited. However, the Hybrid MAX’s power sacrifices fuel efficiency. The Platinum gets a combined 30 MPG. The XLE and Limited get 41 combined MPG. Check out the table below to compare the Crown’s specifications in more detail. An adaptive suspension ensures a smooth ride by allowing drivers to select how the car handles in relation to driving conditions. Five drive modes are available (the XLE and Limited offer three), and paddle shifters allow drivers to shift gears while holding the steering wheel instead of having to move their hands. The Platinum also includes an advanced parking system that enables the sedan to utilize sensors to park itself into parallel and perpendicular parking spaces, and a 360-degree overhead camera. For an additional cost, Platinum customers can even get stylish exterior black tone paint to go with four main colors: Oxygen White, Heavy Metal, Supersonic Red, or Bronze Age. This is not available on the XLE and Limited. Check out the table below to compare the Crown’s features in more detail. Its power reminds of a sports car. Its features remind of a high-end luxury vehicle. In our opinion, those factors more than offset the Platinum’s lesser fuel economy and higher price tag.
