The 2023 Toyota Crown Platinum Arrives, Bringing Bang for the Buck

The All New 2023 Toyota Crown is here. With its arrival, comes a lot of questions. Is this sedan replacing the Toyota Camry, Corolla, or Avalon? Is it a hybrid vehicle? How fast can it get from 0-60 miles per hour? How many miles to the gallon does it get? What are the specs? How much is it? We at Sloane Toyota of Philadelphia are going to answer those questions, and a whole lot more, with our 2023 Toyota Crown Platinum trim level review. Toyota announced the Crown’s addition to its U.S. lineup last year and discontinued the Avalon. But don’t worry Camry and Corolla fans. Those popular sedans aren’t going anywhere. Originally slated for a Winter 2022 release, the Crown is making its way to our, and other, Toyota dealerships across the country this month. The Crown Platinum is the sedan’s premium trim. It comes in two others – the XLE and Limited - and is the first Toyota sedan with a standard hybrid powertrain. The Crown Platinum’s starting MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) is $52,350*. That is $12,400 more than the XLE base trim, and a $6,800-increase over the Limited. However, the Platinum comes with enough bells and whistles to earn luxury sedan status. In fact, in Japan, where the Crown nameplate has existed since the 1950s, it’s already considered a luxury vehicle. Shop New Toyota Crown Inventory 2023 Toyota Crown Platinum Specifications Underneath the 2023 Toyota Crown Platinum’s hood lies an all-new Hybrid MAX powertrain featuring a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor on the rear axle. This results in 0 to 60 mph acceleration in 5.7 seconds – nearly two seconds faster than the XLE and Limited’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid system. The Platinum’s engine also delivers 340 combined net horsepower. That is 44% more HP than the XLE and Limited. However, the Hybrid MAX’s power sacrifices fuel efficiency. The Platinum gets a combined 30 MPG. The XLE and Limited get 41 combined MPG. Check out the table below to compare the Crown’s specifications in more detail. An adaptive suspension ensures a smooth ride by allowing drivers to select how the car handles in relation to driving conditions. Five drive modes are available (the XLE and Limited offer three), and paddle shifters allow drivers to shift gears while holding the steering wheel instead of having to move their hands. The Platinum also includes an advanced parking system that enables the sedan to utilize sensors to park itself into parallel and perpendicular parking spaces, and a 360-degree overhead camera. For an additional cost, Platinum customers can even get stylish exterior black tone paint to go with four main colors: Oxygen White, Heavy Metal, Supersonic Red, or Bronze Age. This is not available on the XLE and Limited. Check out the table below to compare the Crown’s features in more detail. Its power reminds of a sports car. Its features remind of a high-end luxury vehicle. In our opinion, those factors more than offset the Platinum’s lesser fuel economy and higher price tag. If you are currently struggling with the choice of buying or leasing, the finance center at Sloane Toyota of Philadelphia, located at 1546 Cottman Avenue in Philadelphia, PA, is here to assist you. Many lessees are also drivers who are not interested in personalizing their vehicles. Many folks come to us from Trevose, PA because they are attracted to the benefits of leasing. You can get a low monthly payment, while driving a new Toyota car, truck, SUV, or minivan. Additionally, you can turn in that car every few years to get the newest model with all of the latest features. There is also the perk of having warranty coverage for the time that you have the vehicle. Discover the Reasons to Finance While leasing is growing in popularity with car shoppers in Center City, PA and beyond, there are still many folks who find themselves preferring an auto loan. The folks in Langhorne, PA that tend to enjoy financing their next vehicle are people who have unpredictable driving schedules. They also hate the idea of having to shop for a new car every few years. Like leasing, getting an auto loan for your car, truck, SUV, or minivan also has a host of benefits. Similarly, there is also no liability for damage fees when you have an auto loan for your vehicle. Importance Of Servicing Your Toyota Despite Driving Less

You haven't been driving your car as much as you used to, so you don't have to worry about routine maintenance and service as often, right? Wrong! Even if your Toyota car, truck, SUV, or van hasn't been used as often as it once was, you still need to make sure to keep up with your regular maintenance and repairs. Why? Here are a few reasons why keeping up with your maintenance is beneficial to you, your stress-load, and your anxiety. Longer Investment - Routine maintenance prolongs the life of your vehicle. If you've been driving a lot, your car will need regular maintenance like oil changes, brake repairs, and tire rotations. If your car's been sitting, you'll want to make sure the fluids are full, it doesn't have any rust, and everything is moving as it should. Save Money - Even though routine maintenance services cost money to perform, they will end up saving you money on larger repair issues. For example, if you don't pay the tiny fee for your oil change, your engine could blow and leave you with a much more expensive fix. Maintain the Warranty and Value - Whether you're leasing or loaning, you'll want to have regular maintenance performed to ensure that you get the most back for your vehicle when the time comes to either return the lease or resell. Some warranties will also require you to have specific maintenances performed. Contact Sloane Toyota Of Philadelphia To Learn More About Your Routine Maintenance And Repairs Whether you're traveling from Northeast Philly, Trevose, or beyond, our Toyota service center is here to help. How Long Do Toyota Hybrid Batteries Last?

When it comes to hybrids, the Toyota brand is recognized as one of the top hybrid options. Not only does the Toyota lineup offer a wide variety of hybrid cars, SUVs, and vans, but their hybrid systems are known for their reliability, affordability, and endurance. In fact, the Toyota Prius has roughly 13.7-percent of its 15-year-old or older models still on the roads today! This is outstanding considering the average percentage is 6.1-percent. Toyota Hybrid Battery Life If you're considering purchasing a hybrid vehicle, you may have some of the same thoughts as many of our other Northeast Philly and Trevose area drivers. "Will the hybrid battery wear out too soon?" "Is the battery really expensive to replace?" "How long will I have before I have to replace the battery?" We understand and recognize that these are valid questions. When it comes to the batteries found in Toyota hybrid models, you can rest at ease knowing that they are long-lasting and reliable. A Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician said that "most Hybrid batteries will last at least 180,000 to 200,000 miles." This is an outstanding number of miles. But if you do have to replace it, how much does it cost? The same technician answered, "Replacement cost is getting cheaper as time goes by." Also, there is a new Toyota Hybrid battery warranty on all new hybrid models. This warranty covers the hybrid battery for 10 years/150,000 miles. Visit Sloane Toyota Of Philadelphia To Test Out A New Toyota Hybrid Here at Sloane Toyota of Philadelphia, we offer a multitude of new Toyota hybrid models for every Center City, Langhorne, and beyond driver. What Oil Does The Toyota RAV4 Use?

Is it time for an oil change? Whether you prefer to have us, here at Sloane Toyota of Philadelphia, change your Toyota RAV4's oil, or you're one to do it yourself, you'll want to know what type of oil goes into your Toyota RAV4. Let us help you figure out your RAV4 needs for its next oil change. When Does My Toyota RAV4 Need An Oil Change? This depends on the type of oil that you use. The Toyota RAV4 can use either conventional oil (the type of oil that's refined from crude oil) or synthetic oil (the type of oil that's made with chemical compounds). If your Toyota RAV4 uses conventional oil, it will need to be changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. If your Toyota RAV4 uses synthetic oil, it will need to be changed every 7,500 to 10,000 miles. Of course, if your change oil light comes on, don't delay! Something may not be right and will require a quicker timeline. What Type Of Oil Is Recommended? For good fuel economy and good starting in cold weather, OW-16 (ALL TEMPS) SAE OW-16 is recommended. OW-20 may be used instead, but must be replaced with SAE OW-16 at the next oil change. Contact Sloane Toyota Of Philadelphia To Purchase Your Oil And Filter If you're preparing to perform your at-home oil change in Northeast Philly, Trevose, or beyond, you'll want to contact our Sloane Toyota of Philadelphia service center. Our team can find and purchase the right oil for your Toyota RAV4 and, if you'd prefer, perform the oil change ourselves. We're located just a short drive from the Center City and Langhorne area, so pick-up is a breeze.
