Trim Levels

When it comes to trim levels, the 2022 Toyota Tacoma has mostly the same lineup as the previous year. The big difference is that the 2022 Toyota Tacoma will add a couple of extras to the Trail Edition special edition for this model year. Essentially, drivers can enjoy all the same trim levels as the 2021 version, but also get some new additions to consider on the Trail Edition package.

The Trail Edition has an updated suspension and wheels for the 2022 model year. This rugged version of the 2022 Tacoma gives drivers the chance to enjoy all-terrain tires, lockable bed storage, a suspension lift, and an electronically locking rear differential. The trim levels of the 2022 Toyota Tacoma include:

Performance

Driving a Toyota Tacoma means that you can explore the Trevose, PA area in an unprecedented way. Many have fallen in love with the Tacoma because of its impressive off-road capability. The 2022 version of the Tacoma is unchanged as to what it offers in off-road ability. Overall, it also features the same powertrain options like the 2021 version.

Under the hood, the 2022 Tacoma comes standard with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 159 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. You can also opt for the available 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates 278 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. When it comes to transmissions, the standard transmission is a six-speed automatic, but the truck also comes available with a six-speed manual transmission.

Both the 2022 Tacoma and its 2021 predecessor can tow up to 6,800-pounds when properly equipped. They also both had a maximum payload of 1,440 pounds.
