Four Things to Know About the New 2018 Toyota Camry

After decades as one of the bestselling and most popular sedans on the road, the Toyota Camry continues its reign in 2018, with a whole new outlook on life. The new Camry models we have available here at Sloane Toyota of Philadelphia are longer, leaner, and more powerful than ever, and we just can't seem to stop singing its praises.

The 2018 Toyota Camry has undergone a complete makeover for this year, and there's a lot to know and love about this amazing update.

While the Camry remains a stylish and reliable four-door, five-passenger sedan, there are also many parts about it that are new and different from previous years. If you're interested in the newly revised, 2018 Camry, here are four of our favorite new things about this great model.

  1. A new base engine. As with previous model years, the new Camry comes with a standard four-cylinder engine. But, unlike previous years, the 2018 base engine is an all-new, more powerful, 2.5-liter four-cylinder that puts out 203 horsepower.
  2. Revised optional engine. As always, the top two Camry trims, the XSE and the XLE, are eligible for an engine upgrade to a more-powerful V6. However, as part of the 2018 update, this optional V6 has received a nice little bump in power. It now cranks out 301 horsepower, up from the 268 horsepower of previous years.
  3. Standard safety features. Regardless of which trim level you choose, you can count on your 2018 Camry to come with the latest, innovative safety features available. That's because Toyota equips every Camry with a long list that includes traffic-adapting cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning with mitigation.
  4. Appearance. The differences between this new Toyota Camry and previous model years are obvious from a long way off. Compare the two models side-by-side, and you will see for yourself how this new Camry is a more modern, stylish car than ever.
