Toyota Collaborative Safety Research Center Announces New Autonomous Programs

Our staff at Sloane Toyota of Philadelphia is well-versed with plenty of Toyota knowledge, but one of the most interesting aspects lies with the automaker's Collaborative Safety Research Center. As a determined method for studying and addressing the challenges of up-and-coming vehicle technologies, the latest programs that have been announced are set to tackle road safety trends, integration of advanced safety systems, and many other aspects behind the future of vehicular travel. Conducted with eight research centers across the country, including the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, these latest forays into a wealth of data is worth getting excited about.

“Autonomous and connected vehicle technologies are only just beginning to transform the transportation landscape,” said Chuck Gulash, Director of CSRC. “By working together with world-renowned institutions and making our results public, we are proud to help realize the promise of advanced mobility solutions and a safe, convenient transportation future.”

While our new inventory of models can't feel the change of the projects that are currently being conducted, there have been 44 completed research projects with 23 partner universities that have certainly led to changes in the models we have available. Be sure to stop by our dealership and learn more at 1546 Cottman Avenue today!
