Toyota RAV4 wins big at Oregon Trail Rally

When you thinking of a racecar, do the Toyota RAV4 come to mind? That's only because you have yet to meet the Rally RAV4.

The Rally RAV4 is based on a stock RAV4 SE model. Of course it's reconfigured to meet the needs of rally-car racing, like shedding about 300 pounds. It's still powered by the exact same engine that motivated the RAV4 SE in our showroom -- a 2.5-liter four-cylinder worth 176 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque.

Toyota recently reported back on the Rally RAV4's experience at the Oregon Trail Rally in Portland, Oregon…

Classic Toyota Corolla struts its stuff at the 2016 Great Race

Curious as to what the grandfather of bestselling nameplate in the world is doing these days? The Toyota Corolla has never been one to sit on the sidelines, and even a 46-year-old model still has the gumption to stay in the game.

A first-generation 1970 Corolla sedan joined the 2016 Great Race, an long-distance endurance race that starts in northern California and stretches to Moline, Illinois. It's one of over 130 vintage cars participating in the event, and the Corolla partakes in the festivities to celebrate its 50th anniversary. It maintains its 1970s specifications -- a true

Last week, Toyota revealed the secret to the success of America's favorite sedan, the Toyota Camry. And as the brand states, it's something that's been hiding in plain sight, so to speak.

You could say the secret was outed by the 2017 Camry refresh, which focuses on what drivers want more of from the latest midsize sedan. Qi wireless smartphone charging as well as Entune® infotainment with navigation are now standard on XLE and XSE models. Automatic emergency braking is also available, giving levelheaded Camry drivers even more peace of mind.

How to make Philadelphia roads safer with Toyota Safety Sense™

Do you want to be able to make Philadelphia area roads safer simply by driving on them? When you drive a vehicle equipped with Toyota Safety Sense™ (TSS), you do just that.

This suite of safety systems treat automotive safety a bit differently that you might be accustomed to, as most of us think of a safe vehicle as one that has top crash test scores. And while Toyota has top marks for those, too, this system doesn’t merely lessen the severity of crashes – it works to prevent them from happening altogether.

There are five distinct features that make…

If you invested in a new Toyota because you value the reliability and longevity of a well-made vehicle, you're going to want to read this blog post. 2016 Toyota Prius offers more tech, style, mpg

There's more to a Toyota hybrid than just a greener driving experience. Sure, most people are drawn to the gas-electric vehicles mainly due to their efficient performance, but Toyota designers and engineers wanted consumers drive the 2016 Toyota Prius for more than its eco-friendly powertrain. Think of its available 58 mpg city as a perk rather than the sole reason you drive the Prius.

What else does this hybrid hatchback bring to the table? There are many available Prius features that are hard to find off of the luxury-vehicle market, like a head-up display and automated perpendicular and

Toyota expands hybrid audience with edgy 2016 Prius

When you think of a hybrid hatchback, the first thing that comes to your mind is probably fuel economy. Sure, the main selling point of hybrids is their green design, but does it have to be that way?

Toyota doesn't think so. When it came the redesign of the 2016 Toyota Prius, the brand wanted to expand its audience by giving it an edge over the competition -- by making it edgier and more modern than its predecessors. The aerodynamic appearance of the 2016 Prius will certainly catch your eye, as will its peppier performance. It's about time the…

What the close of Scion means to Toyota shoppers

If you think Sloane Toyota of Philadelphia has a large selection of new vehicles now, just wait until the 2017 model year rolls around. The Toyota family is expanding to include several Scion vehicles, which will be rebadged as Toyota models.

Toyota recently announced that it's terminating the Scion brand, but its FR-S coupe, iA sedan, and iM hatchback will live on as Toyota vehicles! These vehicles value creativity, trendiness, and tech-savviness, and we think they'll be a great addition to the Toyota lineup. Even the speculated Scion C-HR crossover concept will still come to being (as a…
